Getting started with MainPhase Lister
MainPhase Lister is a back office for selling trading card singles on eBay UK. It looks up your cards, prices them against what's already on eBay, lists them for you, and keeps track of orders and buyer messages. Your inventory and eBay account are private to you.
Setup takes about 5 minutes.
Before you start
You'll need:
- Your invite code, which looks like
MPL-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. It works once and expires, so use it soon. - An eBay.co.uk seller account. The one you sell (or want to sell) from.
- Business policies on eBay for postage, payment and returns. If you don't have them yet, step 2 below shows you how to create them.
1. Create your account
- Go to https://mainphaselister.app/signup.
- Enter your invite code, your name, email address and a password (at least 10 characters).
- Press Create account. You're taken straight into setup.
2. Setup wizard
Each step has a How do I do this? section if you get stuck. You can close the page and come back; you'll return to setup the next time you sign in.
Step 1: Link eBay. Press Link my eBay account, sign in on eBay's own page and press Agree. Your eBay password is never shared with MainPhase Lister. Each eBay account can only be linked to one MainPhase Lister account.
Step 2: Business policies. Choose your postage, payment and returns policies. If any are missing:
- On eBay.co.uk, go to My eBay → Account → Business policies (accept the opt-in if asked).
- Create a postage policy (e.g. Royal Mail 1st Class, Large Letter), a payment policy (the default is fine) and a returns policy (e.g. 30 days, buyer pays return postage).
- Back in MainPhase Lister, press Check eBay again.
Step 3: Where you post from. Every eBay listing needs an item location. Pick one you already have, or fill in your address and press Create location on eBay. Buyers only see your town and postcode area.
Step 4: Listing defaults. Choose how titles are written and how cards are priced (how far below the cheapest similar listing, and a minimum price). You can change these any time in Settings.
Step 5: All set. Press Finish setup.
3. Your first listing
- In Add a card, type the set code printed on the card (e.g.
LOB-001) and pick it from the list. - Choose the rarity, any modifier (1st Edition, stamped…), the condition and the quantity. Optionally tick Use my own photos and add front/back pictures.
- Press Add to inventory.
- Tick the card in Your cards and press List on eBay. It's priced just below the cheapest comparable Buy It Now listing; cards with nothing to compare against are skipped, not guessed.
Day to day
- Dispatch shows paid orders waiting to be posted. Open one, post it, then press Mark dispatched (add the tracking number if you have one).
- Orders is your sales history, including what you received after eBay's fees.
- Inbox shows buyer messages, and you can reply from there.
- Sync eBay (on the Inventory page) refreshes listing statuses and prices from eBay.
- Click a live price to change it without relisting.
